Salesforce has become a huge player in the online sales space, but that hasn’t always been the case.
Now the software giant is trying to get back in the game by offering a course on how to build a business on its platform.
As part of its new marketing course, Salesforce said it will offer a “Salesforce Marketing Strategies” course, designed to help salespeople build a strong, growing and profitable sales force.
“Salesforce is committed to creating a culture of accountability, and we’re committed to listening to our stakeholders to understand what makes them tick,” Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said in a statement.
“Our new course is designed to give our teams the tools they need to grow and thrive in Salesforce’s world-class salesforce ecosystem.”
The course is being offered through the company’s new online course hub called “SalesForce for People.”
It’s part of a broader push by Salesforce to make sure it can continue to provide “the tools to help customers build a better world” with its online platform, Beniof said.
“There is no better place for Salesforce for people to learn about how to do business online than in the Salesforce course,” Beniofen said.
The course was first offered as a preview in July.
The company also has a course called “Digital Marketing” that offers some of the same information.
Salesforce, for its part, said it hopes to bring “a more in-depth and professional approach to sales and marketing.”
