The world’s fastest growing fast food chain is hiring for a job in Glasgow.
Glasgow’s new regional marketing course has been developed by the company to help people prepare for the global fast food industry.
Gloucestershire-based Burger King is hiring a marketing director to help the firm understand how it will sell its fast food offerings in the local market.
The job, which is to start in December, will involve helping the company develop local marketing strategies.
“The job is a one-year opportunity, but it’s a fantastic opportunity,” said Burger King’s marketing director, Nick Furlong.
“We are looking for someone who will work with our global team, help us with local branding, and develop a local marketing program.
The goal is to help us be the go-to destination for people looking for great local food.”
The job posting comes as Burger King, which employs more than 2,000 people in Glasgow, prepares to unveil its second new burger, the Classic Burger.
The company said in a statement that the new burger would be an opportunity for new and experienced marketing professionals to expand their knowledge and experience in fast food.
The company is hiring the following people:A.E. Furlongs director of corporate communications, Mark Pritchard, will be the company’s new marketing director.
Furlong said that the company was “actively looking to recruit new, experienced staff and have them help with local marketing initiatives”.
“We believe that our brand is strong and we are keen to expand this into new markets.
We’re excited to see what our team can achieve in this new role,” he said.
Burger King is one of the world’s biggest fast food companies with a turnover of £2.9bn.
