The United States has no shortage of great businesses to choose from, but for every big one there are hundreds of smaller ones.
We want to help you build a business in a time when many Americans feel as though they’re stuck in a rut.
And the problem is, they’re not.
You don’t have to be a seasoned international business executive to be able to understand that, says Joel Schwartz, co-author of the forthcoming book, The World in Brief: The Definitive Guide to Building Your Own Business in a Time of Globalization.
That’s why the book is titled If You Want to Build a Big Business in an Era of Globalizing.
The book is written in English and French and includes advice on building a business for any country.
You can read an excerpt from the book below.
The U.S. is one of the most diverse countries in the world, but the biggest challenge in building a thriving business is getting the word out.
Schwartz says, “The challenge is that if you are bilingual and you speak French or English, you will not be able understand the business ideas of someone who speaks a language other than English.”
That’s because you need the right mix of language skills to understand a business’s business plan, Schwartz says.
“You want to know exactly what you’re going to be talking about and how the business is going to work,” he says.
You also want to have the right level of fluency in English so you can communicate effectively.
Schwartz recommends learning the basics of business from scratch so you don’t fall behind.
You should also get a basic business history, so you understand what you’ve built and how you plan to grow.
You might also want a sense of the local culture and how it works, so the business owner understands what is expected of them and how to build it in a way that aligns with the local needs.
Schwartz advises getting a business education and getting it right at home, too.
“The first thing you need is a business card, and you want a business license or you want your business to be licensed and you’re trying to get it to a government agency so you’re not making mistakes or getting in trouble,” he explains.
“But you also want it to be very good and you need it to work.
You want to make sure you get the right people for the job.”
The book also offers practical advice on everything from building a good customer base to negotiating with an established competitor.
The key is to take the business idea you have and build it from scratch and build a great business in your own backyard.
Schwartz suggests starting with a single concept and building a company that fits into the needs of that community.
The first thing to do is understand what your customers are going to need and what your products are going, he says, and then get out there and start doing your best to meet that demand.
If you don, you’ll find you’ve created a great company that will benefit everyone.
